Light brown cloth boards with green, gold and white floral illustration to spine and front cover. Lightly scuffed to head/heel of spine and corners. Pages clean and tight. Frontis with tissue and 16 additional "drawings" by Alice Barber Stephens. Portrat of Miss Mulock on Title Page. Lightly tanned inside both covers. Lovely inscription to granddaughter dated June 1928 on free page. DJ is lightly discolored, more so on spine. Illustrated as book only flowers are blue. Small tears and chips. Now in Brodart. A "most beautiful love story" as grandmother said.

Corners scuffed-front corners to boards. Illustration inside covers and FEPs. Previous owner's name on FFEP in pencil and stamped on back of page. Rest of pages are clean and tight with no marks. Frontis and 17 illustrations (2 in color) by Fitz. A very sweet book.
