NY Grosset & Dunlap 1928 First This Edition Hard Cover Good No Dust Jacket Scenes from Photoplay
Staring Fay Wray and Gary Cooper. Based on the Paramount Photoplay by John Monk Saunders. There is a prick as from an ice pick or small nail to front of blue cloth boards. It carries through to page 21. Does not affect text at all. Tight, clean pages are very lightly tanned. Spine is faded and worn to head/heel of spine. Illustrated with Frontis and 7 photos from production. Tiny worm trail starts at p 145 and runs to photo "Gale discovers his passenger on the death trip is the girl he loves" facing page 162. Based in part on Director William Wellman's own WWI experiences with the Lafayette Flying Corps. Follow up to "Wings."

Blue cloth boards with black lettering to spine and front cover. Head and heel of spine scuffed. They are lightly soiled. Poem about who to return book to if it is found in pencil inside front cover. Pages are tight and clean with a few small smudges. Outside page edges are lightly soiled. Illustrated with photos from movie starring Fay Wray and Gary Cooper.
