Good. No Dust Jacket Lightly soiled tan boards. Small bump/tear to front cover. Scuff to head/heel of spine and corner bumps. Previous owner's name inside front cover and FFEP, where hinge is just beginning, in pencil and on next page in ink. Illustrated end papers, color Frontis and 9 B/W illustrations throughout by Manning DeV. Lee. Very good except for pencil scribble on Intro. to Chapter II. Few small stains first few pages. The wonderful story of a black child and a white child living on a plantation "once upon a time-75 years ago. " (circa 1856)
