NY/London Harper & Bros. 1898 First Edition Hard Cover Very Good No Jacket
Very Good +++ No Dust Jacket Light brown cloth with rust decorative illustration to front and back boards and spine which is slightly faded. Title in gilt at top of all three (Yes, the back cover too! ). Small dark stain mid-front cover. Top page edges gilt. Outside deckled page edges browned and the only thing that gives away the age of this lovely book. Light moisture stains at lower edges of spine inside both covers. FFEP has lovely gift inscription dated Christmas, 1898. Lightly separating behind that page. Otherwise remarkably clean and tight. A Treasure!
